Research

IDRAC is a higher education Business School whose vocation is to educate and train  future management executives.  Its mission and vision fall within the framework of the PRES, “which aims to reinforce the effectiveness, visibility and attractiveness of the French higher education and research system”, according to the Research Program Law of April 18, 2006.

As such, IDRAC considers that Research is a fundamental element in the transfer of knowledge and the improvement of professional practices.  IDRAC is committed to publishing its research activities  via a research journal, professional journals and via nationally and internationally renowned academic publications and intends to participate in ideological debates through seminars and conferences.

IDRAC’s goal for this decade is to obtain the EPAS and EQUIS/EFMD accreditations as well as the American AACSB accreditation.  In order to do so, IDRAC has committed to a complete restructuring of its teaching programs (the French 3-year and 5-year Visa accreditations) as well as a notable increase in its Research Development and Innovation.

The Research, Development and Innovation management team is responsible for the organization, planning and development of research work.  It ensures the follow-up of research activities, notably via the management of the IDRAC Center for Applied Research and its workshops.
It encourages the organization of seminars or special workshops linked to RDI and ensures the promotion and exchanges with different outside partners. The ICAR workshops are held twice a month.  The first presentation of the month is reserved to guest speakers and the second one is given by a researcher from the IDRAC network.

Research Guidelines and Company Partnerships/Chairs

The IDRAC Academic Research Committee has determined four major fields of Research-Development-Innovation which are the following :

• entrepreneurship and the SMEs
• marketing and large-scale retailing
• the use of CIT in sales and business operations
• the development of skills and their implications in education

Furthermore, in order to ensure the link between the academic and business worlds, IDRAC intends to develop Company Chairs in areas related to the above fields of Research, Development and Innovation.

Research Journals

All work carried out by the IDRAC network researchers will be subject to a yearly publication in both printed and CD format.  These research journals group together all working papers, articles, and proceedings of conferences and are sent to all our academic and business partners.

Le Conseil scientifique est constitué de 15 représentants issus du monde universitaire français et étranger. Ces membres ont pour vocation, après discussion et concertation en séances plénières, d’orienter l’IDRAC sur des thématiques de recherche innovantes et originales en prise avec les problématiques managériales actuelles. Les travaux, issus de ces thématiques, permettent de contribuer à la nécessaire reconnaissance académique nationale et internationale sein du Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche français, tant par la qualité de ses enseignements que par sa contribution à la recherche en Sciences de gestion.
