Welcoming Foreign exchange students

IDRAC regularly welcomes German, Dutch, Belgian, Spanish, American and Chinese students.

These students, for the most part, take third year courses all of which are in English.  The entire 4-5 year progam has been reformulated in accordance with the standards of the ECTS (60 credits per annum).  The European exchange students can therefore transfer their IDRAC credits to their school.  Moreover, IDRAC also assists these students upon their arrival by helping them with their living arrangements and by making sure they are well integrated within the school.

French Language Courses

In the academic year, IDRAC International School of Management will provide program in the French language for all exchange students. Although the business courses are all in English, this program will enable exchange students to feel more confident when they are doing non curricula activities and will help them enjoy their stay even more. During your stay you will also have chance to meet up with some French students who will give you some useful information about living in france. We will also help you during this time with any administrative matters
that need to be sorted.

During the two first weeks study time you will get :
1. An introduction to the computer services offered by IDRAC,
2. An explanation on the use of WIFI hotspots within the building for the students who have laptops,
3. An explanation of the internet services provided by IDRAC,
such as :

  • idracararriere : www.idracarriere.com
This site gives our students access to the 3000 internship & job offers that are sent to IDRAC. Students can place their CV on the site, which can then be seen by companies wishing to recruit. They can receive email alerts when certain jobs or internships are available and can then apply to them directly. They can also consult the alumni data base to find the thousands of former students working in France or across the world.

4. A guided tour around our new Library Facilities with an explanation of the major data bases provided as well as your
access code to :

  • Cyberlibris : www.cyberlibris.com
Cyberlibris is Europe’s most prolific digital library which allows you to consult and read 8000 business books (3000
in English). You can also build your own personal bookshelf and for your essays you may ‘cut & paste’ passages and the
reference of the book will automatically be inserted. Books from ‘Cyberlibris’ will be used by your professors during their
    courses.

Business Courses

All courses (international program 3rd year) are conducted in English. Approximately 90% of the students will be French on the 3 year business program and the other 10% will be exchange students. You will have several projects to complete for the different courses and these will generally be completed in groups. IDRAC devises these groups to obtain cultural diversity and ensure that you get the opportunity to meet people with various backgrounds.
A standard workload for European students is 30 ECTS credits per semester. We would expect all students to complete 30
credits unless otherwise stated by their institution.
